This is My Story, This is My Song, P.C.

It was June of 1971 when someone finally told me the true story. To have my sins removed, I had to receive Jesus. Although I had felt a closeness to the Lord before, this was different. I had become new. However, as time went on after my salvation, my experiences of the Lord did not. It was not until I touched the local church and the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee that I found out what took place the night I prayed the sinner's prayer. Not only were my sins removed for eternity, but I was given another life, a divine life. I received the divine life (1 John 5:12). His salvation is being worked out in me as I enjoy His divine life. I am enjoying the `much more' salvation (Romans 5:8-10).

In March of 1977, I was on my honeymoon. Some Christians we knew had invited us to come and see what the Lord was doing in the church in Dallas. The message was on Christ and His Bride, the church. Having just been a bride myself, it was easily apparent how the Lord yearned for His Bride. This became a real vision to us and soon after we packed up and moved so that we could meet practically and be built up in the church.

More than twenty years later the Lord still honors that move. As a wife, mother and teacher, every day, life is so busy. However, His name brings me to the still waters (Psalm 23:2) and calms my anxious heart. By calling “Oh Lord Jesus,” I am filled with the Lord Himself. Just like in applying His cleansing blood, as I call, he comes in to free me! As I give myself to Him, He meets me in the most precious ways, and shows me what is on His heart. These two practices, applying the Lord's blood and calling on His name, have changed my life. As I am learning to take Christ as life in the Body, I can enjoy all His riches.
